Since March 2011, one of the personal endeavours of Mr N Sethia has been the curation of the Chitra Collection.

This treasury of rare and antique teaware is owned by the Foundation and serves as a memorial to Mr Sethia’s late wife Chitra, who provided invaluable encouragement and support in his formation of the luxury tea company Newby of London.

With more than 1400 exquisite items relating to tea accessories spanning from 15 BC to the 19th Century and 8 recent objects representing the 21st century.  Many formerly owned by royalty and dignitaries, the collection forms both a lasting tribute to Chitra and a captivating archive of tea culture.
